Twisted Hate is the 3rd book in the Twisted Series by Ana Huang. This book drew my interest from the very beginning. This enemies to lovers, best friend's brother romance had tension, entertaining banter, and passion. Josh Chen and Jules Ambrose have a clear hatred for each other, but fate seems to always find a way to put them together, both professionally and personally. I knew with the amount of passion Josh and Jules displayed in their hate, they would "burn the pages" when they ended up in bed together. After a heated interaction turns into passion, Josh can not get Jules off his mind. Neither Josh nor Jules are looking for commitment, he is busy completing his residency and she is busy finishing her law degree and studying for the bar. Josh proposes that they meet their needs by being friends with benefits. The rules they set are quickly crossed. Josh recognizes that his feelings for Jules have changed. They begin to date…..until Jules past becomes her present. When Josh isn't pushing Jules buttons, he is sweet and caring…...in bed he is controlling and has a dirty side. Their romance is spicy 🌶🌶🌶. There wasn't anything I didn't love about Josh. He was witty, flirty, and possessive. Jules is a good match with her own witt, strength, and independence. Twisted Hate can be read as a standalone, but I feel that it's a better read by reading the other books in the series first. Ava and Alex have a significant part in the storyline. I would have a better understanding of what happened between Josh and Alex/Ava; and the history with Ava and Michael if zi had read the previous book. If you are looking for a spicy and passionate enemies-to-lovers story with deep characters who evolve and grow throughout the story, I recommend this read.
