Whatever You Want is an emotional addition to the interconnected Protective Series. Book 3 is the story of Ava and Logan. Ava is a widowed single mom to 8-year-old, Madison, learning to navigate the world without the love of her life. Logan is a divorced single dad to 9-year-old, Brina, and has been attracted to Ava since the day they met. Their story interweaves humor, romance, angst, and a little suspense that kept me guessing.

Ava and Logan’s relationship builds throughout the book from friendship to their HEA. Logan was everything! He was flirty, sexy, supportive, understanding, and respectful of Ava’s feelings; with a protective and possessive side. He loved Ava unconditionally and would do anything for her. Sometimes he was just too perfect. Logan captured my heart in so many ways, but I think his flirty side was one of my favorites.

Ava and Logan faced many obstacles on their way to their HEA. Ava struggled with her feelings for Logan. Her grief felt raw and authentic. Just as things were coming together for the couple issues with his ex-wife, a secret Logan was keeping, and her stepfather tested their relationship.


I voluntarily selected to review an ARC copy of this book based on the blurb....as I do most books. This series and author were new to me…...but.....I assure you I will be reading more from this author. Her storytelling is detailed, her characters well-developed, and the sequence of the story flowed well. This slow-burn romance had romance, angst, and surprises that kept me turning the pages. If you love reading about sexy and sweet detectives, single parents with a little OW drama add this book to your TBR. In addition to grief, this story does touch on domestic abuse for those sensitive.


Now, I need Luke’s story!
